But seriously, there was a series where I grew up in Brazil called F-Espron.
There were over 100 F-Espron cars built, and each and every one of them was equipped with none other than an S42. The class died out because of the cost associated with engine rebuilds and things like that. The class has been revived this past year by an enterprising Renault rep that decided that the F-Espron class needed a comeback, but under the Renault banner. So, What we have is a bunch of "useless expensive BMW engines" laying around as they were all replaced by Renault powerplants.
The racing school I teach at while i'm visiting family just so happens to have a warehouse full of Espron cars they bought up to create new prototype school car with Renault Power...

Its cool, i was'nt trying to be an ass, just a tease...
These engines are in Brazil, so shipping costs could get pretty high, and i would have to check with the school to see how much they would want for them. The other thing is, being a race engine, there is no way to know what the insides are gonna look like, and as mentioned before, parts are hard to get.

First off, thanks for posting the pics, those where some very nice shots. I'm a huge fan of everything lotus, I'd bet here in the US that the elise and exige will develop a true cult following and hit a low point in pricing in the next few year, then start to go back up.

Speaking of the motors, the S42 sounds pretty sick. It's funny, I was looking at this just before switching over to here.
