Take it to a expensive ass shop and get a quote, hopefully its more than a grand. Pay the $500, collect the cash. Then fix it for free.

True that. Get your money. I wouldn't fix it till he pays. It's your option how you fix it but he owes you for proper repairs. Someone fixing up that house knows who's truck it is. Get your money or report him for a hit and run.

i already tried for the hit and run, but my census was denied on the factor of too little information. i dont know the license plate. and until i get that i cant do anything with the police.

and my deductible is 500, but i do not want to take my car to a shop. i would rather suck up my loses and use a door off of my red car and call it a night. my black car needs to be painted anyways.

i know, they didnt understand my frustration, and told me to take the matter up with my insurance company. which i did, and they told me since there was no one to blame and no other insurance company to pay for the damages, that my monthly premium would increase becaseu of the repairs.

This guy won't want to go through insurance, you won't have to pay a deductible. Get the estimate and have him pay that amount. There's never enough evidence, that's why you go out and get it. They were fixing the house across the street, someone involved knows who's truck that is. Find that person say pay me. If he has a problem with that, tell him about hit and run. I can tell you right now, if it was me that guy with the truck would be unfolding hundreds in the very near future.
