I also have a 1981 323i. Its a right hand drive car from the UK. Spent it's last 2.5 years undergoing a full tilt resto. MIght actually finish it one day!
don't have it anymore (sold it a month ago) but this was the 1966 Mustang I owned for 9 years. it was my first car... I miss it a LOT
