In '91, did they paint the i lip body color as well, or is that a mod?

No they didnt paint it. OEM it comes black, along with the rocker panels under the doors and the lower part of the rear valance. Why? Dunno, makes no sense. Doesnt look as good in my opinion. I painted the 'i' lip, the rocker panels and lower part of the rear valance body color. Cheap thing to do until I can get my hands on an M-Tech kit.

As mentioned, an "is" lip would complete the front end (although It would be wicked low with your suspension). I'm actually digging you car without the rear "is" spoiler though.

I was going to get a rear 'is' spoiler...until I took the 325i badge off. Now it just looks cleaner with nothing back there - no badge, no spoiler.

But, no one wanted a front 'is' spoiler more than me. It really would complete the car. I fully planned on getting one...until the 60mm drop up front. Living here in LA, I cant keep that damn 'i' lip from scraping almost every day. But I wanted that stance so bad...guess that's the price I have to pay.

Wow! That is one nice ride. I love white BMWs. Wheels look perfect with those 225 tires on there. I've seen the wheels with 205s and never really liked them, until now! ;)

225's is the largest that will fit. Cars look wicked with the wheelwell all filled up.

Crap. I plan on getting that suspension myself and I have an M-Tech II front valence. Not good. Where did you get your FK from?

EDIT: Sean, use some white polishing compound (comes in a small pop top can), follow the directions on the can, and that'll get it looking right.

nice car. looks really clean. as far as the FK suspension goes, I would throw it in the trash. absolute junk and the cheapest stuff you can get! I know from experience, in a few months you WILL remember I said that! E30s look nice clean and shaved without all the spoilers too, I like yours

Yea, barely though. There's still a ghost there. I think the paint might be stained or something.

I went with these FK springs on testimony from someone else who has them. On his site there's a video of him autocrossing with the FK's. Looked good to me.

But I wasnt sure about FK shocks...so I stayed away. I wanted Bilstiens from the get-go anyhow. So far, so good...

What happened to you?
