It's all a matter of preference. If I had the money to ball, my car would be on the floor with a Rieger and some nice side skirts. But too many things are in the to do list beforehand.
The shitty bodykits are self-explanatory... front bumper aside (which takes the most hits), everything else is usually fiberglass because it'll most likely remain in one piece... the front would usually be some sort of flexible plastic or something. Personally I liked the styling of most cars there... but again... preference.
Remember, drifting is not a timed event... it's based on judging and how much of a show you put... and as much as people deny it... having a car that looks and follows a certain style matters (even if slightly)
