I think you should choose another car from the dealership that has the e36. Damn those are some nice cars.

Doesn't the E36 have a bunch of unsolved electrical gremlins? Oh I read your page about your E30 with all of the work that has gone in to it. Just enjoy the car you have. The E30 is by far a car that can last longer. The E36 was an American market car meant to be disposed of after 10 years. How old is that E36 again? What most people do in your position is to put the car they like in the garage and call it their "Garage Queen" then you go buy a modern car that can be your dd and have it serviced at the dealer under warranty. Buy a good car you would like to be seen in but have no real emotional connection with. I.E. door dings don't bring tears.i'lldoitforacaravan

If you care about the looks go for the E36 if you care about how the car drives, potential, etc. Stay with your E30
character.
His e30 looks worlds better than an m3 wannabe.

sigh... i wish i can keep both cars.... if the E30 was a coupe wif a manual tranny and a more powerful engine, it'd be a no-brainer
i really do miss the 'feel' of a manual... its so fun
*think my girlfren doesn't like the idea of 2cars cos i spend alot of time washing / cleaning my E30.... if there's an E36, even more time....*Last edited by mockngbrd; 06-28-2007, 07:26 PM.

I thought that the e36 was an actual m3 in euro trim. If i were you i would take the money you would save with keeping the e30 and do a motor swap w/ manual tranny. Your e30 is far nicer then the 318. If it had a euro s50 with the 6spd it would be a no brainer on settling with the e36. I hope you make the right decision for yourself.

i wld luv to do a proper engine swap but i guess the problem with that here is , it's highly highly illegal, and if the authorities find out(they consider it as tax evasion), it's bye bye to the car
well, the E36 owner's nt selling till mid sept. so i guess i can take some time to think it over properly :)
E30s coming back from the workshop later today.. will be nice to see her again afte a week's hiatus :)

yep..yep.... i sold my 30 for a 36 sedan.. & gotta admit i miss my 30 like hell.. nuthin beats the look of the .30....Somehow it's the car's cohesive lines and the mesmerising quartet of round headlamps... That conquered the world leavin many enthusiasts spellbound....till today
well... if ya can't leave 1, have both... i'm workin hard at the lottery this weekend
