I was actually chatting with the Service Manager at the local BMW dealership about tires and he was saying how amazed he was at how many will plop down $50k for a new X5, then bitch and moan when somebody recommends snow tires. People are just dumb.

3.3% change in final drive.....
and running my 205/60-15 is 2.9% in the other way. Based on the change on felt, 195/60 would be a happy improvement in spirited driving.....
I guess if your tires need replaced on 'weaves, go for the 195/60.....it'll almost do the same as a 3.91 in a 325i (4.8% versus 3.3%) but actually saves $$$. :D

I did it. My car kicks ass. As Rob says people bitch about looks, but screw that.
195/60/14 Azenis own. Don't worry about rain either, they'll take HIGH speeds with plenty of standing water. I just wouldn't try it when they start to wear. :shock:
