To be honest, I like the wheels but it's not sitting right for
stretched tires and wide wheels, it's gotta come down alot esp in the front.

While I do value your opinion and love the way your previous car looked, I do value my ground clearance (esp up front), survivability of my front end/oil pan and handling characteristics over aesthetic appeal. If there was an option that could give me a fair compromise of safe ride height/handling and giving the front a little less wheel gap, I'd go for it for sure.

Not sure how it was on your M52 stroker but on the M42s the oil pan sits quite low.

Ed's car was a M20 2.8 liter. Loving the car, I would suggest a 60/40 drop just like he had. My brother's car has the same set up.

Yeah, unfortunately the m42 oil pan sits LOW. That is a safe ride height you're rockin there.

If you want the ground clearance then get properly sized tires. The car looks great, and I love the wheels. The fender gap with stretched tires is a killer though.

55/35's and taller tires or switch up your wheels/tires to a more converntional setup with normal tires and higher offset.

Even with properly sized tires you will be risking the oilpan if you switch to COs or lower front springs. Especially in NJ or anywhere there are bad roads.

I cannot tell you how much people with lowered cars are easily surprised driving on Jersey highways, esp Rts. 9/287/35/1&9 etc...perfectly smooth, then craters, then dips, then speed bump indentations - even in my FX35 with 20s its quite a surprise.

I've already bottomed out a few times on my E30 setup on these highways. While stretched tires and slammage are the consensus - I'm pretty happy with the way my car looks :)

/\ c'mon roads in Jersey aren't that bad, you should see detroit.

Try a taller tire when these wear, it will fill in that front gap a bit without compromising ride height.

The back looks good, but the front end looks so wrong to me with the wheels coming out past the fender opening... It looks like the lobo Fords we get in Denver, though those are a bit worse with about 4 inches sticking out past the fender so they can fit 295/50/15s. A staggered setup would fix that right up!
