    ///M-tech Cabby rebuild

I picked the car up on friday, and i've been putting in long hours all weekend tearing it apart and cleaning all the dirt and mold. I found the Magic Erasers work fantastic on the white vinyl, this stuff looks like new!

    Best $8 ever!!!!

The wheels have a LOT of brake dust, but I've got a secret weapon for cleaning those up:)

    Seats: ouch.

    cleaning up the toneau cover:

    All Clean!:

    Tune-up time

I broke the breaker bar trying to get the damn lug nuts off! I dont know who put these f**kers on, but I've never seen any this tight EVER.

Soooo what the heck is this weight for? is it necessary? Will it adversely effect handling if I leave it out?

And how do I get these black plastic rail off? I can't get the tabs to pop out, and I dont want to break them.

More updates to come later this week!!!!!!!!

    Hey,

That eraser stuff sure work well., i gotta get me some :)

weight suppose to eliminate vibration and those clips,
you'll have to sandwich something between smaller and bigger rings, then it will separate, to reinstall, you'll set them in place, snug, then push in center pin.

also, speaker covers must come off or front sections will crack.

Isn't that the weight that is in the trunk to offset the weight of the battery being under the hood?

ya man definitely leave the weight in. i took mine out for awhile and it was too rear end happy. gives it a little more 50/50 balance

Great work so far. The door panels look clean! If I were you, I'd follow them up with a really good vinyl protectant (I recommend Pinnacle). That cleaner you used worked well but is pretty harsh for vinyl.

Let's drive fast and have fun.

                        great restoration project !

Please post more pics of the car.

As far as the battery, just get the OEM e30m3 battery cable and put the battery in the trunk where it belongs ;)
