    my e30

picked up this thing on sunday

this will be my 2nd car for track, autox, weekend whatever. still keeping my 2005 scion tc that is my DD.

    1985 325e 2.7L

    some more pix

im so gonna drop that bitch to the ground

yes original color is burgundy lol

duct taping my elbow intake gives me 50hp.

door fucking creaks like hell when i open it

seats are from a sport model. has some nice bolsters still.

steering wheel is actually straight in that pic. i need to fix that :o

    the cluster

    a little dent.

    some extra parts

the sport max. i might end up selling these after i get new tires on them. these are too flashy for the bmw especially with the flat black paint. i also need lighter wheels :o

if only it shined like that everyday haha

    only mods are
brand new sportmax 002 15x8 +0 wheels on some shit daytonas
    KYB shocks
    has LSD
    sachs stage 1 clutch

paint actually looks worse than it is in the pics.
motor has a lot of miles (approx 264k) but its bulletproof. it starts up everytime. revs up all the way to a whopping 4.8k LOL. needs an oil change soon though. any hookups on oil filters?
torque is like 171lbs and hp is at a whopping 121HP.
has new shocks and a bunch of bushings replaced. it drives pretty well for a 22 year old car.
    all windows/sunroof work.

this will be my first bmw car. i was going for a porsche 944 for a dirt cheap 2nd weekend track car but everyone one of them had problems with the motor. then this came up on Craigslist for cheap.

    plans for it:
    springs and sways (any reccomendations?)
    markd chip
    tuck bumper
    new tires (RS2s or RT615)

    problems thats its got....

    1. odometer stopped at 258k. i have a few extra clusters but none them dont match with the 325e. any one have a link on how to fix the odometer?
    2. driver side window wont go up, will go down. how much will a window motor cost me?
    3. AC does not work. im not really worried about that but the previous owner said it just need a freon recharge.
    4. driver's door hinge is almost dead.
    5. no major dents or dings except for rear bumper and a slight dent on driver side rear quarter panel.

im lookin forward to learning more about the e30 as i go along. :)

the best part is the e30 community. you guys are pretty well knowledgeable and the parts are so easy to find and cheap as well out. oh and a $200 will get me 24hp and 28lbs of tq. cant say that about the tc. :P

this is strictly my fun car. i dont care if its burgundy or flat black! it could be pink for all i care as long as it drives good and the motor still has life.

i think with the chip it will be good enough to have some fun with it.

Every time I see those wheels I want to harm myself or others.

I have wanted to flat black my car for a while now, that is kind of a poor job at it though. I wonder how it would look if it was done real clean like

the flatblack honestly doesnt look good at all but i could really care less. i jsut care that its all one color with no major dents or rust spots.

and what is the problem with sportmax wheels? i know theyre cheap and theyre knockoffs but again i could care less. theyre just wheels.

My problem with the Sportmax wheels is that there are SO many better looking wheels for the E30, and some are pretty affordable. Plus the 0 offset thing is just silly... Wheels have offset so that they fit correctly, and there is nothing correct about how those wheels fit an E30.

What's with the blurred out stickers on the windows?

And why the fuck can't people take decent pictures? There is 4ft of space in front of the car in the first pic, and the rear of the car is cut off.

The second picture is just as stupid. 4 feet of space to the left of the car (and a trash can!) and the right side of the car is cut off.

This is not rocket science, people.

the first 2 pics were from my cell phone. it was really bright outside NOON in socal and i couldnt see where i was aiming.

and theres no stickers on the window. i blurred out the previous owner's phone number. it was written in paint on the window.
