At least the front bumper's condition is motivation enough to change it for something better looking. :p

Haha! The E30 is classic, E36 is soooo mid-90s. But the E46 is also played out, and looks like a old piece of shit next to an E90/92/93. That's the price you pay for being one generation away from the latest and greatest.

    e30 vs e36

`e36 just... its not an e30. E46 is modern, e30 is classic, and e36 is kind of niether, to me it looks and feels out of place.

The dash design looks like an Jap import with that huge center vent. The only BMW I would never ever get. Not to mention looking at all the m cars who holds thier value the most... e36 m3 are often sold for less than the e30 m3 counterpart and the e46 is like uber expensive still.

Front ends love to fall to pieces. Things are disposable, betcha most E36 owners that traded their E30's in were searching for a replacement after 3.5 years.

the front door handles already disintegrated.....so i cant open from the outside, but the backs are fine. i look like an idiot trying to get in if the windows are shut.

i'm driving it from norfolk, va to detroit today so this will test its mettle.

a buddy of mine picked up the e30, he felt he could fix it. i dont have the facilities/tools to fix easily so off it went. deff gonna buy another. e30 = way more fun to drive. even w/ m3 suspension, the e36 was a pig at the autox compared to the e30 (which did have ground controls, but still)

the e36 will get suspension, ds2s painted black, m3 front, painted skirts, a few dents pulled, redone tint, and a catback

Looks like a clean car, especially for only $2400. Interior seems to be in great shape for an early E36. Throw a new front bumper on it and drive it till it dies.
