I would've bought that car just for the red interior - that makes the car. Keep the DB and just tuck them - it will look fine.

Technically, on an E30 the front dampers are struts (because they are incased in the MacPherson assembly), while the rear dampers are shocks (because they are independent units).

this does not make any sense to me :

Bilstein HD struts with new body bearings
          Boge Turbo gas shocks

          ???

struts and shocks are the same thing, unless you have Bilstein in the front and Boge in the back or vise versa...

also, the "Factory BMW E30 Windscreen (very rare)" is still available from the dealer ;)

          nice car NTL !
The front struts are indeed Bilsteins, while the rear shocks are Boge. They are also both about 80% toast, so new Bilstein sports are in order all the way around.

I LOL'ed at the factory windscreen being "rare," but it definitely helps and it's $300 I didn't have to spend, so oh well.

Thanks to everyone else for the kind words. I am still personally leaning towards the DB tuck (a la Mr. Anderson's front end) but wouldn't kick a full bumper conversion outta bed if it showed up at a decent price. The MTech 2 kit goes under "would love to have, but not likely to find."

          Thanks again,

          Tim

love the cardinal. I think the seats look alittle out of place though. If it were mine, I'd try it with red door pulls/map pockets, and rear speaker covers.

            Hot car though.

            Bumper swap ftw!

I am digging that front lip, its different from the other 325is diving board lips. If mind looked like that one i wouldnt hate it so much. Anyone know what years or how rare that front spoiler is?

It's a Racing Dynamics front apron.

I'm pretty sure you can get it from bavauto.com.

What offset are the wheels? Looks like they could come out some.
Nice work on the interior even though I already told you on BF.

Thats a great looking cabbie, is it a hard top or soft? Hard tops get me really hard.

I'm, uh, pleased to report it is a soft top.

ET42, 20mm H&R spacers and Vorshlag 80mm stud kit. The wheel depth is fine, IMO. The issue is the tires are a slightly undersized 205/40/17. I'd really like 225/40's but they're tough to find and 215/40 isn't worth the money to upgrade from these since they're basically brand new.

I appreciate you sharing your opinion. I prefer the solid black look with red seats.

Yep and yep. The PO put a blue RD sticker on it I will be peeling off when I can find time to detail the car.

                      Thanks for all the responses,

                          uh... mtech 2...

I like the mtech 2, but seriously... every other person is going mtech 2 to mtech 2 replica... I think Alpina style looks much better, with or without the skirts. I dont like the door panels, its seems like one too many lines.

you are right let me rephrase. - all the cabrio are doing it. I say this because, there are two types of cabrio, I see most common.

1 - bone stock with diving board
                                2 - mtech 2 body kit.

I've never seen an apina or even hartge, or anything else IN PERSON. cause I can always pick up an magaine and see beautiful cars. oh... there's a guy down teh road from me taht drives a reiger body kit cabrio in black... that thing is so hiedieous... hahaha

Then we take it back to talk about the sedan and coupes, I think they look great, and you are right, not everyone has it, and its pretty nice.
