No thank you! The last thing I need is another car at this point! I want my free time back.

Possibly the nicest color/car combo ever. That, LSB E46, and Dakar E36. Such a nice ride. When I grow up, I want one.

Very nice work, looks like new!

Mine is long over due for a good polish. How difficult is it to remove the door trim? (how many clips did you break? :))

The clips don't tend to break, partially because they're not as old and brittle as the E30 ones.

The trims will bend easily though. Just be very careful not to bend them. It seems like they're just a thin rubber coating on a metal rail.

Haha that's very generous of you!

If I were a tech I don't think I'd do that. Face it, people that buy 40K cars aren't always the nicest people, and some assholish people might even think you are at their beck and call at every minor problem. Screw that! A clean break is best IMO. Just my serious 2 cents.

SLOW! Ha. I think these M5s were the end of the good ones. I can't stand the looks of the new BMWs.

I work on cars that cost much more than $40k on a regular basis, and let me tell you, I prefer those people than the people with cheap cars. With the cheap cars, I usually spend more time writing down every little problem with the car and working up an estimate than I do actually working on the car. Time=money, so usually I lose money on those cars.

I already have plenty of people calling me every time their car makes a weird noise or gets a door ding, so what's one more? The more customers I can get, the better, so when I open my shop, I'll already have a following.

What was this thread about again?
