***pics from the Watkins Glen Vintage GP** pic overload, a lot of rare cars!

Ah, you've got me beat. I've been going since '92. We always camp at the same place, by the water tank at the inner loop. Cars? First a BRG 1964 A-H Sprite, then a Mini Cooper (vintage) with a union jack roof, and now a dark green 1974 Alfa Spyder. Not my cars, although I wish they were. I ride up with my friend who owned them. I brought my Miata one year. This year my 86 Zinno ES will make the trip as the mule for all of the camping gear.

I PM'd vlad this AM about this and the more I thought about it, the more I thought I'd share this story. This thread came up from a search I was doing for something else and when I saw it, I thought I'd look through the pics since I've been going to the Watkins Glen event for many years. Thought that perhaps I might show up in the crowd in one of his pics. Hah! In one of his pics, there I am with my son and and an old close friend looking at a Jag in downtown Watkins Glen. We three are the only "crowd" in the photo. So? The interesting thing is, a photo of me was posted on this forum a full year before I bought my first E30 and a year and 4 months before I joined this forum. Coincidence? You be the judge. And yeah vlad, it is awesome.

I looked through some of your photos. Really good stuff. However, I need to stop looking at them. For the core group of us that goes in September, we're like a bunch of little kids waiting for Christmas to come. :) During the trip home, we're all ready to go back. My son tells me that Monday morning when he wakes up, he wishes he was still in the tent.
