    My Lachs

My project is finally finished. Probably around 150 hours spent on the body, but it's oh-so worth it. This is exactly how my dream E30 would look, I'm very proud to own it, so sorry if I'm not very humble but it's a big day for me. The paint is perfect, totally flawless at any distance. Not a single dent, ding, scuff, scratch or mark anywhere on the exterior, I can fool people into thinking it is new straight off the showroom floor.

It's a 1988 325 super eta, bought it as my first car in 2005 and only drove it 150km trying to learn stick shift before sending it off for body work. I didn't need a car, as I didn't have a drivers license at the time (I was a freshman in High School) and I couldn't drive it anyways. Unfortunately it met delay after delay and wasn't finished until September 22, 2007. We did a lot of work ourselves, sanding the car down to the metal (it had 4 coats of paint already, needed a fresh start), stripping everything and reassembling. It was a good test in patience, there were times when I was tempted to just abandon the project and buy something else to enjoy, I'm glad I didn't.

Woke up at 7am this morning to take the first finished pictures of the car. Sorry they're a large file size.

    Thanks for looking. :)

Here's a very, very brief collection of pictures of the project in chronological order.

Absolutely stunning, maybe get some deep dished rims, shadowline, a nice drop, and pimp them hoes.

Looks like a great end result! Congratulations.

I'm at the 1 year mark with my restoration. My car is coming along, but nowhere near completion.

I can only imagine how nice it is to have it finished and driveable..

Looking good man. Best color offered for our e30s. (obviously a biased remark). ;)
