From E36 M3 to E30 (finally posting pics)

Long story short with my E36 M3. Went to a nice curvy canyon road to have a fun day with a couple friends. At the end of the trail I decide to let my ride-along friend drive the car back a little ways, expecting him to take it easy and being mature (I was 20 and he was 26).

Well the fucker thought WOT mid corner was a good idea. Car slid, he couldn't correct it and we went off, since there's no guard rails at this place.

That was one seriously fucking sexy E36 M3. I LOVE the black K1s.

After settling down, I began thinking what my next car would be. I figured it'd be too expensive for me to get another E36 M3 and I wasn't feeling the non-M e36's. The only other reasonable choice...an E30:D

I bought my E30 from a member here in Cali and the pic in my sig was taken just one week after purchase.

So now that I had the car I needed to pull my S50 and part out the rest of the car to fund the new beast.(Yes, that's me...lol)


I freshend up the motor with some maintenance and put some ceramic coated "Ebay" headers on.

Are you happy with the ebay headers? I'm looking to get a set for my M50 when I get it started.

I was given a brand new set free of charge for my 99 M3. I gave them back.

Next it was time to freshen up the suspension. Bushings had 250,000 original miles on them and the suspension bits were rubbish (too much Top Gear;))
So I got all Powerflex bushings for the rear and to my delight, the E36 Treehouse "eyeballs" and LCA's are direct fit on E30's. I also got a C3M coil-over kit with 450/750 springs (ordered these through GB before I bought my car, haha).

Full... Thanks to R3V and it's search function, my first ever engine swap went fairly smoothe.

Also decided I like how smileys looked and had to have some nice HID's (4300K)




Here you can see my muffler. Had a single 2.5'' exhaust made which includes magnaflow resonator (the long one) and the muffler with 3'' tips.
