    the e28 (56k take a hike)

before anything...its bronzit...i know... its my fiances car and we picked it up for $800..not bad. everything functions and its runs and drive great. good deal. its an 88 535i, mtech 1 wheel, 5 spd with 99k miles. so far ive tucked the bumpers, painted the side markers black, resprayed the lower front valance black, worked on the paint, sprayed grills black, polished all the chrome, and put my old school wood shift knob in. the day i got it, all the black stuff was faded to gray, the paint was so oxidized that it soaked in water, no beads. all the chrome looked horrible.

future plans: paint mirrors, bumper surrounds, lower front valance, and rocker panels bronzit. possibly fill in side markers, and possible shadowline. then sell for e34

    anyways, heres the pics:

phase 1- this morning, rainy pics

    sharknose ftw

and my e30 content (sprayed my iS spoiler white, was black. looks MUCH better):

    Looks great.
I am in the process of restoring an 82 myself.

I really like those cars. Needs to be slammed on something dished and aggresive offset.

I hear euro bumpers for these cars are really hard to find as well.

Some parts are NLA new, and used they are often damaged and rusted beyond use.

yea id love euros for it, but im doing this on a budget to sell. i saw this one on mye28.com; it made me want to spend my whole pay check on the e28 and get it like this and not sell.

either way, ill get this one cleaned up nicely. this thing pulls compared to my 325ic, even with its heavier weight, the m30s a nice old engine.

wow, not sure about the eyebrows but that's a nice E28.

I've always kinda had a soft spot for them, but it always seems people want like $5k for a beat up bronzit 528e. I'd love to do a sleeper E28 project though with an M30 turbo..

I'm not parting it out. I'm selling the car whole, as-is.

Basically, I bought at the auction with intentions of it hopefully being a running car, but its not. Its not missing any parts as far as I know, a mechanically inclined person should be able to get this car running without much issues.

Nice man, looks like you've been pretty busy. I meant to text u back, but I spilled water on my phone (thread in OT) so I've been screwed as far as communication goes.

I think you should keep it and get it looking like that one you posted. You NEVER see clean e28s like that around here. But eh, e34? You expecting? That's a pretty big car. Does Hill not want an e30 anymore?

p.s. I'll sell those euro grills 30 bucks lol.
