haha..I know it's not fitting for member's rides. Just thought it would be funny. Definitely not gangsta though...a gangsta would be rocking a 9mm, a tmp, an AK or something else that's relatively affordable.

Actually, I was hanging out at a friends house last Thursday in the fountain district, and out of nowhere these thugs come in through the backdoor with straps and police-grade mace...they maced me like five times and stole what little cash was in my wallet (and the two other guy's wallets and cell phones). It was especially trippy because they were all wearing military gear (camo, helmets, balaclava, the works) and we happened to be playing Call of Duty 4 at the time. At first, we thought the game came to life on us. Anyway, that was the inspiration I needed to finally purchase an M-4, which has always been my favorite gun. I hope I never need to use it for anything but target shooting, but it's nice to know that if I ever have another run-in with pistol and mace-toting gangstas, I'll be prepared. Aside from worrying about their guns and the mace in my face, my biggest worry the whole time was that they would steal my car. They had taken my keys, wallet and cell phone, but thankfully placed all of those items on the floor before they left.

EDIT: for those of you who have never been maced before...it fucking sucks, especially the shit they hit me with. Word to the wise: Don't play around with that shit unless you are prepared for some excruciating pain.

Ive been pepper sprayed...... and left in the police car for 20 minutes with my hands behind my back. ugh.

When the police finally arrived, I was barefoot in the shower in jeans and a t-shirt trying to get that shit off my face. They told me to come out with my hands up, cuffed me, interrogated me, and then put me in the back of the car with the heat on. They wouldn't let me get my jacket or my shoes and socks...That was the worst car ride ever, because the shower re-activated all the pepper spray molecules, then the heat from the car made the pain like ten times worse. I know it was protocol and what not because I could have potentially been a suspect, but still they didn't treat me very nicely.

ahh, the fountain district - 'round here we call that the alphabet ghetto (lettered streets). pretty scary that you guys got mobbed like that in Bellingham though - was it somebody you or your friends knew?

what did the police do? any suspects?

It was totally random man...we have no idea who they were. They were looking for a safe, which of course they did not find because my friend had no such thing. Police pretty much took down our accounts, and left it at that.
A couple days later one of the guys that was there with us was chased by black guy and a scabbed, tweaked out looking white chick in a red caddy...this is particularly interesting because my friend saw one of the thugs' faces, so they might have been worried about him identifying them and went after him as a result. Anyway the red caddy cornered my friend and his cousin in front of some house in the fountain district, and the home owner came out and was able to get the plate number of the red caddy. My friend was able to get away, but had to almost run over their caddy in his truck to do so. For now we're waiting to see what develops, but it's definitely crazy that this kinda shit is going down in such a family-oriented neighborhood. It's not even in the alphabet ghetto, it was over by Connecticut and Park street. Go figure.

well, it sounds like bellingham's long standing drug problem (meth, heroin, etc) is coming to a boil. bummer you got trapped in the middle of it.

Nice pun...well I'm thankful that nobody was hurt aside from mace burns, and that my car wasn't stolen and raped. That shit definitely sucked, but it could have been a lot worse I suppose. Fucking tweakers man...

i cant actually believe that a civilian has an M-4. in aust we arnt allowed any high powered guns what soever, were only allowed hunting rifles and little sidearms, and you have to take these courses on how to keep it safe and to use it in a danergous situation, and you also have to have a licence for it

m-4, and ar-15s arnt really "high powered". you can find much more powerfull rounds in modern hunbting rifles. And you can buy these guns just about anywhere, as long as they arnt fully automatic theres no problem.

Oh it's definitely aluminum and chrome moly...you're right, it is not a toy, but it is certainly fun to shoot. All that said, a gun is similar to our cars, they are fun to play around with, but if not respected/used properly they can injure or kill someone. I always exercise the utmost precaution when using my gun.

I want a night-vision ready red-dot sight or an ACOG scope...right now I'm diggin the handle sight though, it's classic
