Here is the transmission swap half of the job we did...
Remove the old crap.
DIE bitch!
what a mess, what a pain
installation
the straps held the engine back to allow for easier mounting of the tranny.
Here are two different design assemblies... you can guess which i picked.
Here, we were presented with a problem. Late model airbag automatics didnt come with manual clutch pedal return accomdations... and to add to that, the peddal assembly is welded into the steering column mount assembly!!!
the weld is behind the brake light switch wires.
So here is what i made. Since the pedal assembly cannot be removed, this plate mounts between the master and pedal frame.
i made a bunch of these and advertised years ago... but it seemed no one was coming across this issue... i cant recall where they are now but if you know you could use one... maybe i can find em again.
time to clean up......
back at home
oh, btw, this is the resultant from getrag 260 and the 4.10:1 final drive

what kind of paint did you use to redo your valence ? where did you get itOriginally posted by ebelementsAlso, for those who don't know, negative camber is the greatest thing since sliced bread(panera). Even tire wear is for city busses and the elderly.

So what year period are we at now? I like the step by step process you've done with the photos and look forward to seeing where it is in present day.

Sorry for the long delay, been out of the loop for a bit while working on my house.
So not long after the rebuild, i come full circle, just a little worse this time. Pickup infront of me on highway decided to just drive straignt over a full re-tread which hid it from my sight and tossed it into the air. With traffic all around me, there was nothing i could do other than catch it in the grill.
This was on the way to an autocross on a little talladega track in 2004.Comment
