It was time to trade in and up!!

It was time to say good-bye to 2 of my beloved BMW's, I needed something larger for my Rotti to fit in.

So Tschues to my 88 318i

and auf wiedersehen to my 92 318i

What is taking there place as my new DD / toy / dog transporter is..........................

My new love 1994 318i Touring! Newer than the e36 and is still a e30, Im so happy to be back into a e30 as my DD, the e36 just didnt have that carisma.

I have the drivers seat but it was so worn down that the foam was showing and getting everywhere. Im now searching for a place that can refinish them.

It is in need of a little TLC which I cant wait to give it. I just put a new cam, rocker arms, and lifters in Saturday and it purs like a kitten.
A new suspension is in the works, KW 35mm kit, but funds are a bit lacking because of the cam kit / wife wont let me yet.

    UPDATE 1: 4 FEB 08
So Mike was right my car did not come with the large wire harness for electric windows, so it was back to the JY fro me , but sadly the only thing I came home with was the complete interior wire harness for electric windows. So heres a few pics of a bit of progress I made installing the harness.

My life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather i will skid in broadside, thoroughly used up,totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW..What a ride!

Very nice!!! I see that you are stationed at Ramstein. I used to be at Sembach from '89-'92 and got a chance to visit K-town for a few days in late November early December. I couldn't believe how the place has changed. Have you found any good sources for e30 wheels over there? I can't recall seeing any wrecking yards in Germany although I am sure they have them somewhere. Enjoy your new ride, I wish we could get them here in the states.

Thanks for all the Touring love guys.
I was also stationed at Sembach then PCS'd to Ramstein, man I love Germany.
As for rims there are a ton of wrecked e30's at the Ramstein JY and there are plenty of JY in the local area, but if you want something that is still in half way decent shape your better off looking on ebay.de

Yeah right now it has a 60mm/40mm no name drop. But I need this car to get to our dog club (hunde platz) which is out in the middle of the fields and the roads arent paved. I tried it out yesterday and i scraped my oil pan several times, so it needs to be raised alittle for the sake of my undercarage.

That is a sweet touring. MUCH nicer than your previous 2 cars. Rob Scheiring has some of that color edition M-tech clothe for sale that you could use to recover the driver's side seat.

Let's drive fast and have fun.

How much longer are you going to be at K-town? I'm only an hour (or less) away. I'm moving up there this summer from Heidelberg. Been here since 2005. Hope to meet you some day. Nice touring BTW.
