    It's all in who you know. I posted my intentions out on our local BMWACA board and a member had a friend who wanted to sell his car. This guy emailed me and it went from there.

    Don't just look at the price. The car will need a lot of work and parts.

    You could probably get by with just a few things but I have already bought $900 worth of parts for it. Sure a good hunk of that is a complete set of urethane bushings, but a lot is just basic parts like filters, control arms, belts, tune up items, etc. Depending on what you want, track rat or daily driver, you are often better off paying more for something that is in a bit better shape. I was willing to pay up to $4000 for a car that was fresh and had all the go-fast parts that I wanted. This car has a lot of potential though and this way I can put in the parts that I want. I have more control this way.

        Nice looking base to start from. :D Looks a lot like the Delphin car I saved from a crusher for $1k a few months ago. Like yours, it has a lot of stuff done to it but the exterior needs love. I look forward to watching your buildup!
