I appreciate your description of the car, since that's basically what I want; a faster E39 with an S38 in it. :D I've actually never ridden in a US spec M5, although I got a ride in a Euro spec one once and it was awesome! Of course, I think it also had some mods, too.

buying my first $60 tank of gas. the memories roll in! couldn't get the fucker smogged today, so boo. dont have time tomorrow, so it will wait till monday.

Been doing that at 2.79 a gallon for over a year in the LC. I just paid 25.00 to top it off from just under an indicated 1/4 today at 2.99. freaking Sam's has gone from 2.79 three weeks ago to 2.99 today. Not looking forward to Filling up in San Diego tomorrow.
