Yeah the wrx has a straight 3inch exhaust from the turbo back. It sounds amazing... that and the CAI under load it sounds like a jet lifting off. I am in love hahaha.

It's kinda funny cause I was exactly the opposite...Once I started making more money I had to have an e30 an my spare FUN car, but then I fell in love with it more than my S4. So now I'm selling the S4 cause I drive it like once a month..if that.

350whp or 350 from the crank? Perhaps you like going straight more? I have a few friends who would favor there e30 over most any car so I hear ya. I love e30's but my wrx out powers and handles any built e30 I have ever been in or driven. I must say the e30 has nicer lines and style in some ways, but to me the wrx just does it.

Whats your e30 putting down if you mind me asking?

350-400 horsepower is hardly "built" for an STi. And E30s are the best cars ever, OMG. Why come into a thread of WRX owners and say "hiieeee guys, E30s are better!!!"? I realize this is an E30 forum, but...I dunno. I guess I give you guys too much credit.

And yes, I get defensive when it comes to Subarus. They're my first love, and I take it more personally than if you were to insult my mother.

8atman, what else is done to your car? Maybe you listed it at some point, but I didn't read through the whole thread. How'd you smog it with the FMIC?

I have to say, I've always liked the way the subies performed but I was never very fond of awd. The power than can be had with it is nice but at the same time, its always nice when you wanna have fun to whip the ass end out. Although I feel this way I think the craziest burnout/doughnut I ever saw was an 05' STI with like 485 to the wheels when I was in Australia. There are fast but I'd take my E30 over one any day.

Seriously a 350hp STI... Haha!! That's like a chip n exhaust. The cars are two different animals. I have a Bi-Turbo Audi S4 (wich comes standard with Quattro) and it make about 360hp/400ftlbs. At 3700lbs and with AWD I can take out an e46 M3 and a 911 Cab. So it runs just a little faster than a solid S50 swapped e30. So I agree that your ride prolly didn't blow you away. The difference is TQ!!! My car (and a chipped STI) makes more TQ than an M6!! And thats what makes these cars so damn fun.

I enjoy my e30 more on a daily basis! But on mostly freeway driving and for long high speed cruises..nothing beats a Bi-Turbo S4/WRX or STI and even a stupid Evo!

Oh and threlevenguy try riding in my friends 560 AWHP S4 (thats All Wheel HP to the non-AWDers here) or my other friends 500 AWHP GT-25 S4 and tell me you're still not impressed. Ask your buddy if he knows of any Turbo swapped STI's or S4's and get a ride then come back and talk. Yeah, I'm talkin' out my ass cause I'm selling my S4 cause I never drive it anymore and cause you guys are talking about Subies, but whatever I'm bored at work and it's only 9:20...Damn I need a new job.

I drove a simple WRX, not even an sti, and I can respect the potential that car has. Ofcourse it had a chip, swapped turbo, suspension, fmic, and full exhaust, but that is beside the point. However, I would still pick my paintflacking, maintenance needing, sometimes problematic e30 over it in a heartbeat. :D Okay maybe not in a heartbeat but it would be relatively quick...well after thinking about it I would own both like Kellie.
