The Schwarz Army strikes hard, good job Curt.

Next time keep the gun holstered, but the ass kicking was well deserved.

You are an extremely irresponsible gun owner. You should only brandish a weapon to protect your life and with intent to kill.

          btw. great april fools joke!

Last time I checked, there are curbs bordering most parking lots.

I have better things to do than to and convince you guys. Fuckin dicks. Friend fucks up his leg, and I get my car stolen, and you all think its some fuckin joke. What the fuck would you have done? Yeah, I thought so. You are all big behind your little keyboard and broadband connections, step out and see what its really about, or shut the fuck up and quit trying.
Not only are you a hypocrite, its just a matter of time before you get your ass handed to you with an attitude like that...

Good fuckin work son!!! That bitch wouldn't have made it had that happened to my car. RESPECT CURT!!! It's better you used your hands instead of the gun anyway. Slower...more painful...makes you feel righteous:hitler:

In any event, joke or not, I think some of the actions taken in this story were very irresponsible. Sure, everyone likes to play the tough guy on the board here, trying to impress your male peers.

I think you should just look at things from a legal standpoint. Too many people these days are quick to file suits against each other over shit like this. And as guilty as that kid was for stealing your car, you would be just as guilty for physically assaulting him (not to mention posting it on a public forum for the world to see). Just my $.02.

true, you are correct. the other party had committed grand theft auto and possibly could have had a weapon on him WHO KNOWS. and if his lil scuffle had gone the wrong way at least I was prepared. good point.

I still can't believe the police wouldn't help.

A while back when I had a Mustang, a guy in our local club had his corbeau's stolen. Just like your car, the next day they were on craigslist. The police helped set up a sting the very next day, wired the guy and everything, for a $600 pair of seats. As soon as he confirmed that they were the seats stolen from his car, he said the word and the police came charging in.

Like someone else said, I would probably take down the pics and the vid, just to protect yourselves though.

I'm pretty sure most cops and judges would disagree with you.

looks like you had the gun pointed at your friend during the scuffle. what if curt ended up dead?

This story reminds me of the time when some punks stole my Enzo. I had to track them down and beat up like 6 huge Mexicans single handedly, it was pretty intense but since I'm a MMA fighter I just cro cropped them all. I know exactly how you feel curt, its got to be nice to have your car back.

??????? Since you got your car back yourself, and ended up assaulting the theif, had a weapon drawn etc etc...

What happens now? Do u have to cancel the police complaint? Is there an investigation? And if so how would that end up? Cuz isn't this martial law...

Someone please shed some light on this please...what are the legal repurcussions against Curt?!?!

Wow, wtf is up with the shit-on-Curt-fest? Ya he may have acted impulsively, but if I had poured that much money, blood and sweat in to my car and it was stolen, I would be pissed as hell too (and so would all of you, so stfu). Was it the best course of action? Probably not. But he got his car back, the thief got what he deserved, and it's over.

Jeff was out of line with pulling the gun (the law will not look kindly on that, and it is very irresponsible ownership and operation of a weapon), but I can see where he is coming from. He had no idea what this guy was like, what he was capable of or what he might have had on him. They have opened themselves up to legal suits and assault charges, but only if the thief decides to press those charges (at which point he will open himself up to GTA charges as well). My guess is, he's too much of a chicken shit to do it.

So everybody just calm down at stop shitting bricks, it's over.

FYI Curt, you need to notify the police that you recovered your own car and that it is no longer stolen. If not and they spot it or you get pulled over, they will assume you are the thief and it could get ugly.
