Blunt was there in a rental car. Was having some excessive oil pressure problems with his M2.

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.

Wait a minute Steve, were you the guy that said "That's Mr. Asshole to you!" walking by the group of guys sitting on the ground?

"See, we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired."

This was actually NOT caused at a Spec E30 race, but rather at a vintage race.

Agreed with Stu, that black M88 E28 M5 was absolutely stunning. It's nice to see an E28 without an MT1 lip on it. The golfgrün E9 3.0CSL was also very cool as well. That was actually a "city package" 3.0 CSL, note the lack of the hood sills, the front air dam, rear spoiler, etc.

                On to the pictures...

No kidding? 3.5, 3.6, or 3.8 liter? I wasn't aware that anyone in the Charlotte area did S38 swaps.

                        Ahh, fair enough.

A guy that bore a striking resemblance to you walked by and overheard our conversation about one of our friends' "reputation" in the community and added that little tidbit. Stu and I had our hopes up.

that is not at all what i expected blunt to look like...

I did spot del**atlanta's new e30 in one of those first pics.

Unfortunately I missed the event. I got baked to a crisp at the beach and am now suffering the consequences... I will make it next year (but i say that about a lot of things!)

Yeah, my car didn't make it out (driveshaft issues) but my old car was out there, it's the white Spec car with the German flag stripes next to Al's pile. Now owned by Tom Hall of Rowdy Dog Racing.

Any shots of the engine bays of those Alpina or Hartge cars? I'd love to see the stroker/turbo goodness :)
