So I called Mariano up yesterday and tossed him an idea, he decided to try it out, so here is what we got: so far.
I'm first term at Art Center College of Design, so I only have limited access to equipment. All the lighting here is pretty much for film/video only. You can use it for Photography... but it's not going to be as sharp/bright etc...
Anyways, these are some pictures I took after filming with a dolly and doing some sweet close-ups for a possible BMW Commercial Project that I'm working on.
The dolly was pissing me off so much, 3 tires were flat so it was wobbling and just frustrating me SO much. I can't get the nice dollies until term 3, SO LAME.
We should be filming some out/in-car footage this weekend.
Here are pictures of the studio we were in; I only had access to the ground floor. "The Cove" in the background was too much of a hassle: you have to re-mop and paint the entire piece after using it.. takes like 2 hours: f it.
Enjoy:

Yes the pictures aren't amazing, but I didn't want to plug in more lights, I was already sweating balls from moving everything around. Just enjoy the E30 M3 hotness.
That huge soft box in the back is actual not a tungsten or continuous running light: it's actually just a huge strobe :) Talk about sick photo-shoot possibilities? Maybe one day I'll rent the place out for a day and we'll roll cars in all day for multi-car shoot :0.
