Thanks for the tip george, actually that was the plan but I didn't want to risk the crack getting bigger in the long run.

Thanks doug!
Not that much of a update today. Got the oil pan swap, which took almost half the day. Turns out the oil pan gasket bma sent me was a inch longer.
Hopefully they can take it back. Luckily one of the local auto part store was still open, so swoop up a cork gasket. :( I hope it holds up! To be continue. . .

Nice to see another Vert getting restored. Nice progress. What wheels you thinking of going with?sigpicComment

Big thanks to you levent! ;)
Little update today:
Thought I was going to be able to take the car home, but after the oil pan swap there seems to be leak elsewhere. So we're going to take a look at it tomorrow.
Anyways the front end is done, got everything put back on. Just waiting on a couple or items. ;)

Took a buddy's advice (td325ic) and clear coated the pitted fogs for the meantime. Turned out better than I thought!
Also jumped the highs and lows, thanks to diy on this forum. Now the lows stay on when the highs are ignited. Got the side moldings on and fixed the cruise control switch.
Hopefully we can fix the leak tomorrow and she will than be sent to the detailer to clean her up. Then finally I can enjoy her!:p
Things I want to be do to her when she's home ;):
- possibly dye the carpet
- install rear headrest (need to find them first :))
- shadowline trim (Is there one available for the vert?)
- black side moldings (Is this also available for the vert?
- HID for low
- coilovers
- rims
- rear apron
Thats all for today! More to come!!!!Comment

Haven't thought about it yet, but for sure I want go with a step lip rim, possibly 16. Not sure if I'm going to do the 5 lugs swap, so very limited to rims right now. Might just order myself some WORKS. ;)

So I took her and got some small stuff done. Fuel gauge is messed up so waiting on a new fuel unit to come and we'll see how that goes. ;)
Also checked the fuse box and replace a couple of burnt one and also jumped wire in the trunk. No more brake light check. (swap a IS trunk over to my vert.)
Next thing on the list was to clear the wiring the PO left from his audio system. It was a mess!

Look what I found one of wires running too:

I immediately pulled the rear seats and this is what I found:

Interesting set up huh A bit bummed the PO saw 2 holes to though.
Took one of the subs off and seems to be made by LEXON, anyone heard of it? Probably will shoot Luke a pm and see what he says about this. :D

The oem radio was asking for a code, so I figure I pull it out and take it to dealers tomorrow. I thought it was a easy task, here is where I am at now.

Did a little search and it turns out I have a premium radio. Not bad at all! :p

Thats all for tonight. I'm sitting down in the garage waiting on the radio to reset it self since there was code written on the unit. I'm going to give it a try and see how that goes. 1hr to go!!!! :(Last edited by Kwaaahhh; 06-05-2008, 12:12 AM.Comment

That could be a good place to put a sub, to get good bass. But i wouldnt do that to my vert. I feel that makes the chassis more flexible. Maybe its just me.sigpicComment

So got her back from the detailer on friday and pretty much just garaged her till today.
Here she is on my driveway: (Check out the 4X4 action)

Received a lil' package from bma: (Can you spot out the first mod) :D

Going to order new roundels for her on monday! ;)
Random shots in my neighborhood:

Yes, I know I need a rear apron!:p Coming soon. . .

So was trying to sleep in this morning and doorbell rang. Here's what they dropped off!:

What is it?
Some goodies from the man!

Didn't have a lot of time this morning, since I was on the way to work. So just slapped on the rear first.
Hmmmmm eurooooo ftw!:p

Replace the 325i or keep it off?
Got the fronts on after work and was able to get some audio stuff done to the car today. Now I finally have some jams to listen to. Anyone interested in a premium oem cassette player?
More to come tomorrow! :pimp:Last edited by Kwaaahhh; 06-08-2008, 01:00 AM.Comment
