Man, I have to say, your car looks really good with the euro bumpers, and those wheels, and the clean paint and all. I usually am not attracted to early models, but the 1st and 3rd shots look really good.

You have a strong argument against the pain of plastic, and for euro bumpers right there.
And is the bottom of your front stock, or is that a euro/aftermarket peice? The black.

that is the US Stock valence for the 86/87 models, it will be replaced with the euro one when I repaint the car.

The driver side of my car is the photogenic side, my passenger side door has peeling clearcoat from a previous repaint back in the day, if you look closely you will notice the driver side fender (factory color) does not match the hood, same goes with the passenger fender and the door.

No biggie to me, because I am repainting the car for Mtech1 :)

Early models are very interesting in terms of making them look good, Its pretty much either Euro Bumpers, or a complete custom job like Jordan, it takes alot of energy and effort to really make them what they are, an 80's sport saloon.

I actually took my 86 over an 89 and a 90 at the time, mainly because I wanted the early body style. I knew I wanted mtech1, so I went against everybody's advise back in the day on dtmpower (they all said 89+) and bought my 86

don't regret it at all :D
