the caster isn't a big deal, what it really lacks is camber. ;)

the ix can handle quite well setup properly but that's why I wouldn't do a RWD conversion to one.. you don't have the benefit of AWD but you're still stuck with a very limited aftermarket and lots of custom parts for the suspension.

Don't get me wrong, I love the way my IX handles but that still doesn't change the lack of caster, even with offset CABs. In the hands of a poor driver that can be disaster when you add S50 power.

I give 'til 3rd gear. There is NO caster on an IX and with no front wheel power and S50 power to the rear it will be a disaster.

Why the fuck are you converting an IX to RWD??? IX's have drastically different front suspension geometry than the rest of the E30 flock and if it wasn't for the saving grace of them being AWD they'd handle like shit. Actually they still handle like shit... Seriously, you would have been much better off selling that car and buying a late-model shell to ass-rape like that. Your car looks like ass, we've been over that but I lose all respect for it when I think about the mechanicals. If you could make it an S50-powered AWD car you'd be a god in my eyes but for now I just feel bad for your car. Sell that thing a buy a fucking honda so you don't kill yourself.

well you know, an S50 swap is definitely cheaper than a used $200 front differential. :p

(not that an S50 isn't neccesarily more fun - but an ix isn't the platform I'd want to do that with)
