    I just bought an 89 325i for $250

Well, I have been noticing an e30 on the way to one of my friends house. I finally decided to stop by there today and look at it. I ended up getting it for $250 :D The guy I bought it from was an alcoholic. The guy I got to tow it for me knew him and said he probably needed some beer. As of now it doesn't run. He said he replaced the fuel pump but it didn't help and he doesn't know whats wrong. I'm going to put a battery in it tomorrow and see what is up with the engine. It has 160k miles on it. It has been sitting for a while and the exhaust is rusted plus there is tons of trash all in the interior and trunk. I'm hoping some of it will clean up. The headlights look really good, actually better than the ones on my daily. The dash is perfect with no cracks at all, its just dirty. The seats just need to be cleaned up except for the drivers side might be broke. The body panels are all in good condition except for the passengers side fender. Anyway, too much talking here are some pics.

the dash is in nice condition, just dirty

my familys 67 chevelle with a 396, the rings are burnt out

my grandmas 1957 chevy bel air with a 350 and original interior. it runs perfect

my daily driver, an 89 325i

I'll get up some engine pics tomorrow. I think I got a good deal for $250

It sure sounds like a good find! Something to fix up for a while, start from scratch :)

Great price... If it doesn't run, part it!

          That's one fugly E30. Atleast it's an i-engine with a 5spd.
          Good luck getting her running.

Nice find there are 2 325e that have been sitting in people's yard near me. I've been meaning to stop by and see how much they'd let them for for. One is red and the other is green. Maybe someday.

                  Part it out!

Neil, I have a red parts car too if you need a trunk, it would have to be painted though.

I got around to looking at the car and I think the starter is bad. When I turn the key I just hear a noise coming from the starter but the engine does nothing. I was going to take it out to replace it with one from a junk yard but I need the right tool to get it out. The bolt looks like a star socket or something. Does anyone know what that is called?

It's a TORX bolt. You need a torx socket, good luck finding a place that sells them one by one. Go to Sears and buy a strip of them, you actually will end up needing them later.
