I didn't know what you meant at first lol, guess you just meant the old model ones hah. But yeah mine is a crossover which is both good and bad. Makes it easier to change over and is rarer but then again I still have to swap my bumpers where as an 89 wouldn't.
Oh well tomorrow I will try and get the bit of the plug out and hope it hasn't already or won't fall into the abyss that is the oil pan, and if all goes really well I may just acetone the yellow off the lights for all you naysayers! Not really doing it for you guys just decided after 6 months almost I want a cleaner car. Also Coilovers on soon, which I have been saying for quiet a long time so even I don't believe it anymore.Comment

Well i am positive it is sitting in the drain pan as i can see the side of it from the drain hole. So my next question is, is it possible to just drop the oil pan onto the subframe and stick my hand in there and get it or use a magnet or something to get it? I have loved the experience so far ironically hah as this is really my first foray into doing anything with the engine so I have learned a lot.
Another question is how do you get the front disk brake off? It seems fused to the middle part(dust cover for the wheel bearing or something like that i think?) by 20 years of crap. Whats the best way to force it off without breaking something? Just trying to get my coilovers on while my car is in "dry-dock" mode, which is why i ask.
Also painted my bottlecaps black which look awesome and will hold me over until Bimmerworld gets the D-force LTW5.
Danke schon(no umlauts on keyboard hahah) in advance for any help rendered!Comment

Another thing you might be able to do, is pull the oil level sender out, and fish the plug out via that hole. Just an idea to eliminate dropping the pan.sigpicComment
