I want my vert to look like this

The cup kit is specifically listed as 'Not for iC models' on the H&R website. Know why? Because the super soft springs and extra weight of the convertible DUMP the car. Ask '92 mtechnic cabrio', he broke 4 oil pans running that setup. Definitely not a good choice IMO if you are concerned with driveability.
As far as the OP, I'm in the same boat as you. I would like to get mine a bit lower too (I'm running the exact same setup as you) and I've come to the conclusion that coilovers may be the only way. You could always try the 60/50 springs, they sound like they'd be just about right. But to get exactly the height you want, coilovers are probably the only way to go. Oh and you can keep your Bilsteins with the GC coilovers, so you wont have to throw them out.
EDIT: Do the 91 verts have higher or lower arches?
I hear you. I'll be at coilovers before you know it. It's only money, right? A man can dream. I'll post pics of the ST's so we can see if they work (that is if they ever arrive).
all verts have same low arches.

judging from your sig, if that pic has the sports installed, i think the race will fix your issues. just short of a full inch more in drop in front will work well. the rear will only go another .3" so i would think youd start to tuck the rear wheels in, especially with the extra weight.Comment

I am running H&R race springs with no spring pads in front, and both in the rear. Without them in the rear the rocker panel sits dead level with the ground, but I wanted a little rake (1/2") since it already looked like it was sitting with reverse rake even though it wasn't. Think about people getting in the car and a trunk full of shit, it would sit way too low.
My stance looks pretty close to the picture at the top.
If I go with race, it will look like the car pictured above, which looks very nice, but to me is still a little high in the front. Vert specific sports lower 1.4"/.75". Race lowers 1.6"/1.5" (a little more on a vert, especially in the back). If the literature is correct.judging from your sig, if that pic has the sports installed, i think the race will fix your issues. just short of a full inch more in drop in front will work well. the rear will only go another .3" so i would think youd start to tuck the rear wheels in, especially with the extra weight.
I think most of you are correct. Coilovers (but we'll see what the ST's do).
I do appreciate all the help!
I figured it wouldn't be easy.

As an FYI, if you are running an adjustable camber/castor plates in the front, it will probably increase the stack height (and therefor ride height), so keep that in mind.Comment

False.
I have the 60/50 lowtec kit, and my shits low. I have removed the spring pads, and personally wouldnt want it any lower than it is. I scrape going up and driveway or any speed bump. Z jumper has the same kit, and his ride looks pretty damn low.Originally posted by blunti would jerk larry king off while tonging jflips ass if h0lmes would blow his head offComment

whoever said that H&R race feels the same as GC coilovers is wrong. the GC's will have a rougher ride due to the fact that it uses much smaller and shorter linear race springs, especially if you buy their e30 specific kit which uses terrible spring rates (500/650).IG: @Baye30
