    The track whore

This is my Time Trial and Autocross car. It's an 87 325is with 260k miles. I'm the second owner. Got it for $500.

The stickers are for contingency money with the EMRA Time Trial series. Getting a couple hundred bucks back at every event is well worth having my 80's family sedan all stickered up :D

So far, I'm doing good this year. Undefeated in the local autox region in DSP, and 1st place in the EMRA Time Trials series in ST3. My friend in a well prepared e30 M3 outran me in 2 of the events... but I suppose that's to be expected.

    EDIT:

While I'm at it, here's my 85 325e daily driver. I am the second owner of this car as well, and it now has 245k miles. It was my first car, and I love it. I will never part with it!

(yes, the O2 sensor wire is loose, lol)

I pulled this a few weeks ago to swap into the 325e:

I got last years track compound (c50), and they are great. They take heat very well compared to my VictoRacer v700's, and seem to be wearing better as well (but I did put camber plates in at the same time...)

Always liked your red '87. Why not put the 24v in it? I figured you'd have the M50 for the track car and the eta motor for a daily.

Thanks. The eta motor burns a quart of oil a week, and I'm doing the best I can to keep the 325is in the classes I'm in right now (DSP and ST3)... plus I was also trying to go towards spece30 eventually. The 325is dyno looked very good, so the engine is still in great shape. where as my eta smokes pretty bad when I get on it.

I am also doing this swap for free (minus motor mounts and clutch) due to trading a bunch of parts I didn't need to the guy who had the e34 parts car. Otherwise I'd put my spare m20b25 in the eta, since the m50 is a little boring for the work involved.
