I generally agree with your dead body stacking philosophies, but at anything below 9/10ths driving (which shouldn't be going on on the street) you aren't going to notice.
The only thing I noticed was a slightly rougher ride from going to 40 series from 45 series. I haven't gotten a chance to take them down any fun roads yet (get them back from getting refinished, again, tomorrow) to see if the heavier wheel is going to affect the way the suspension is setup.
But I've noticed with the Konis, they suck/are choppy/feel underdamped in town, but then once you up the pace and start driving they feel very composed.
