This beautiful Metallic Reseda (Pistachio) Green 1978 BMW 320i that is in NEAR MINT condition. Mechanically this vehicle is in EXCEPTIONALLY GREAT condition. The motor is very strong, with a very low 84,711 miles, it is barely broken in. There is not a spot of oil residue in, around or even underneath the engine or the engine compartment. The clutch and master cylinder was replaced in 2005 resulting in a very nice shifting transmission, and a very smooth ride. The transmission is a factory 4spd close ratio unit. This transmission shifts perfectly fine and is extremely fun to drive.

The car corners and handles like a 2 year old rather then a 30 year old car. As can be seen within the photos, the vehicle is in its ORIGINAL Factory state. From the door jams to the picture of the engine compartment, this vehicle is really clean. Take a look at the engine compartment, the vehicle still has the ORIGINAL Under Hood Mat from the factory. Furthermore, take a look at the trunk compartment, this vehicle still has the original tool kit, which is in MINT condition. Take a close look at the picture of the trunk compartment underneath the trunk mat; this is an area where 99% of these vehicles attract rust within the seams of the trunk compartment. Notice in this vehicle, the trunk area is RUST FREE as is the remainder of the vehicle.

Cosmetically this car is in GREAT TO EXCELLENT SHAPE. The body shows very little rust being an original California Blue Plate car, this vehicle has lived 28 years of its life in Southern California prior to being shipped (not driven) to Connecticut. The side photos of this vehicle detail how straight and ding free both sides of are. The under carriage shows the cleanliness of this vehicle. The interior of this vehicle also speaks for itself. All the seats, both front and back, are in GREAT SHAPE. We have taken photos of both the front and back side of the front seats to show the original and exceptionally clean state of the seats. The Dashboard and the instrument panel area are both in GREAT shape. Even the little clock in the center of the dash functions perfectly well and is still operational. We do have to note that this vehicle does not come with an A/C, however, roll the windows down, open up the sunroof and let the wind flow through your hair as your driving, you will definitely be reminded of the great feeling of driving a nice sporty classical BMW.

From the original carpet, to the nice sunroof, from the exceptionally clean exterior to the strong and young drive train, this car is a dream come true for the true BMW Enthusiast.

The only issues know on this great 320i include a small dent below the left rear signal light and cracked lens (see photos). Also, replacement of gas tank hoses and break master cylinder is recommended.

Recent preventive maintenance work completed on the vehicle includes:

2005, 82,047 miles: Replacement of clutch and master cylinder (by dealer)

2/3/06, 82,941 miles: Complete mechanical check of vehicle including:

Tune-up, gaskets, new starter, heater valve, heater core fuel pump relay, sunroof cable, steering wheel and windshield.

8/6/06, 83,200 miles: Tune-up and new Air Mass Boot and Ignition Wire Set New Fuel accumulator and Check Valve, Oil & Filter changed

          4/27/08, 84,300 miles: Oil & Filter changed

Sweet ride. Swap the tranny out for a 5-speed, though.

Yes, mirrors are stock. The car is bone stock with the exception of an aftermarket head unit and the deletion of the emmissions shit. As far as mods, I think this will be a stocker sunday cruiser.

I love the color. She is sooo clean you could eat off her. Toolkit, spare, engine, trunk; everything is so nice.

Well, posterity, you will never know what it cost us to preserve your freedom. I only hope that you will make a good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven that I ever took half the pains to preserve it.
