So for my fathers birthday, I decided to sign us up for a car control clinic and some parade laps and shit at Cali Speedway. I wanted to get my father interested in possibly going to the track more often since he has always liked Karting, and all sorts of driving sports and motorsports. I knew that if I got him on the track once, he be hooked. Plus it would be a rare time that all four of us would be hanging out and having fun on a Sunday. That almost never happens. And itd be fun for all of us since we ALL love driving our cars and are BMW enthusiasts. Needless to say, my father already wants to sign up for the next track day and this time he said he wants to be able to go fast haha. What is usually required to be able to start club racing? A class? A lap with an instructor? I forgot. Itd be a great way to bond with my dad since we have never had the best relationship. But we do share a great passion for driving fast. After all was said and done, it was a GREAT time. It was one of my best ideas as a gift for anyone ever. Everyone had a really good time and its probably the only time I saw my dad so enthusiastic about a gift. Now my whole family wants to do it again and enthusiastically. It feels good to be responsible for such a thing. Ive never seen my family have such a collective good time together. The fact that I thought of it just makes it that much sweeter for me.
