I actually want to convince my wife to ditch the E46 and pick up an Alipine E39 Touring. That would rock!!!

E34 540it ftmfw! There is one in the works somewhere up by me I think too.

Glad you are keepin it son! I had a lil snafu 3 years ago. Made me go plastic bumpered, and then do the swap. Did all the work myself.

So nice when I roll into a gas station like this morning, and the like pump jockey just keeps walking around my car drooling and tripping over air. lol Makes it all worth while.

Haha, ok not boring... but well, not an M52 swapped E30, that's for sure. Quite practical however.

Jason, your E39 threw me over the edge with wanting a Touring, it used to only be a 540i MSport, but now if I could find an Alpine 528iT or 530iT I'd be all over that ishh.

    Excuse me???? Boring?

That sucks about the damage. I am glad you decided to keep your car though. Go start checking craigslist for cheap car to drive while you fix the E30.

That's what I'm going to do actually. It's time for a new lip and I have an "i" lip with black clips, plus the skirts are a little saggy so they should come off anyway. I have stock weaves somewhere so I'm going to run those while I get my wheels fixed/cutomizzzzeeeddd.

Hahaha, that's kind of exactly what I said... It's going to give me something to do with the car during the nice "winter" months in Florida, when it's actually nice out.

you probably don't even have to replace the core support, a body shop can straighten it and that fender no problem.
You're right, and No, that's not what I meant. I was just thinking it's about time for me to build some credit (great time to do so with this banging Econ) so if I sold this car and put a nice down payment on something nice like an E39 Touring <<<BORING, I would have a nice comfortable car and not have to worry about hitting/breaking EVERYTHING.

    What the fuck guys?

Talking to a couple of aqquaintances/coworkers my age, all male, and I look at the cars they own. A Ford Escape, two camrys, Accord, a dodge fucking Caliber, and a Taurus X. All use the same "sensible" excuse.

What the fuck indeed. Life is far too short to be driving such bland cars, especially when you can still get an erection without chemical assistance. The day I consider owning a Toyota Camry is the day I put a bullet through my brain.

Seriously, 4 door sedans, big wagons, automatics?

I definitely think the 318is idea is a good one. I love mine ;). I'm thinking about looking for a suzuki Swift GT as a DD. Of course, it would probably end up with a turbo on it...apparently the stock 1.3 has forged internals :)
