    This week's work on Thelma

Her driveshaft has been vibrating for a while now. Finally decided to dig into it. Thought i could get away with just a new CSB, but after playing with the U-joints, there was too much binding going on. I'll be ordering a new d/s complete with a new CSB.

Along the way, a few other things will be going on. First, replacing the cracked foglight. I'll be clening them up and placing new yellow laminix on and using new yellowstar H3's. Here they are so far.

Just need to clean the old sealant off.

About two months ago, scored a cardinal bolster at the junk yard from an E24. I took out the drivers seat and removed the old bolster cover.

Remove the recline handle and trim on the side, along with the two screws on the bottom. Panel slides up.

Then, bend the metal tabs along the outside

    And two at the top

Then on the inside of the bolster, snip the hog ties with a side cutter or something. There should be about 3-4 of them.

And two more at the bottom

    There you go:

Here is the new bolster. Hey look, no holes!!!

More to follow in the next week. Hopefully, the new d/s will be in for next weekend. Doing a little work on the cluster as well. Hoping to get this block heater in before another freeaing winter.

Autocrossing my old prelude, drifted into a curb at 50mph to a dead stop. And by autocrosing, i mean some twisty back roads.

This is my first car with leather since high school. I used to hate getting into that thing in the cold ass WI winters here. This way, at least it'll have heat faster.

Sure thing man. How's everything coming along with you? House, car?

We should all get together at your place again before winter gets here.

doing good, house is coming along. I was hoping to get the e30 running this weekend but I'll be putting a new clutch into the old 240 instead . I'm still going to try and at least get the radiator in the e30 though.

I'm down for a meet before winter, I really want to get this thing running before that so I can at least break the motor in and do an oil change to get rid of the assembly lube before putting it away until spring.

All done. Now I just have to get it a little dirty to match the rest of the seat. Hoping to strip and re-dye the entire interior this winter sometime.
