How did you get the ribs polished on the Hartge cover?

I cut away the paint with a razorblade. Then i sanded it with 240, 1200 and 2000 grit paper.
In the end i used P21S metal polish on a rotary buffer. ;)

I have not done much to the car since last update. I have been busy with work, school and some repairs on my new daily driver a 99 530D.
A little curiosity for those that don' t have to pay as much in taxes as the car costs.
The car is registered as a delivery vehicle and only have 2 seats. Delivery vehicles have lower taxes then passenger cars. ;)

I had to return the E30 to the workshop because of bad alignment between fenders and doors. This is the last picture I took before i handed it over to the workshop.

I traded my e34 520i touring for a paintjob on the e30, so when the worshop is finished with the car it will be painted. ;)

That 530d is awesome. Believe me I know all about the taxes, a good friend of mine is Norwegian and I hear all about the ridiculous taxes you guys have there. Can't wait to see the car done.

That's a nice e30 you got going there. I hope you get it finished in time to go to the Ring this summer. Maybe my e30 will be done and we can meet up there.

                  Thanks. :)
It will be finished in good time for the summer trip to "die grüne hölle". ;)

It would be fun to meet at the ring and maybe drink some beers on the Nürburger brauhaus.
I will try to make it down there in the end of July.

seems like when a car gets really nice, its a magnet for idiots to hit

                        like your "delivery vechile"

I delivered the car to the painter today. :)

When i arrived at the painters garage i started stripping the car for parts.

The front fenders and stone plate were removed after the pictures were shot.
