little rear end and engine bay re-vamp....

so I had that black mtechII spoiler, but something about it being black always bothered me, so im getting the top piece painted body color, but im leaving the lip piece black, i really like the contrast. while i was taking it apart, i put on the lip piece, and i really liked it just like that (i know jordan already showed everyone) so im leaving it as is. Im still gonna paint the the top part, and ill rock the whole thing eventually if i like it better. So anyways, i did that and I did the all red tail lights, it really cleaned up the back end, a lot. I also sandblasted and painted the valve cover. really cleans up the engine bay, im doing the intake manifold soon. yea, i know, i need a heatshield.... anyway, just thought id share. here are the pics...

Daymn, to think of what your ride looked like a month ago. It's really coming together! Loving the look of the tails, but get a euro filler, and it'll look a lot better. :)

it looks good, will be better with the rest of the wing. I think your next mod should be a cut and polish, your paint looks awful.

I still don't understand everyone's fetish around here with black body pieces. Things looks better painted to me.

Anyways I like the valve cover. Looking closely you're REALLY stretching your AFM boot with the filter hanging down there, if you don't have vaccuum leaks already you will soon. Before I got my Lukas shield I just put the bottom piece of the stock airbox in and let the cone rest on it.

it's not a fetish, most of them can't afford to paint their new body parts after they buy them so they get a can of flat black for $5 and call it good. :P

at least his spoiler is gloss black..

actually its diamondswarz. and there's a bracket holding up the afm and filter, you just cant see it. the "fetish" at least for me is that I really like the contrast that the lip gives with the rest of my silver and black "theme", especially the contrast it gives with the bumper strip. obviously I have enough money to get it painted if I want, its gonna cost me almost the same to paint just the top piece as it would cost to paint the whole thing, but im choosing not to paint the lip becuase I like it, a lot. we'll see, if it looks bad, ill get the lip painted too.

hehe, funny story... no cut and polish is gonna help my paint (at least not the rear doors back). the PO... front end respray.... rear end paint is cracked where the clear meets the paint, very deep into the clear, its so bad, every place I go to says nothing they can do will help.... needs a respray, ill do it eventually.
