Forget all those other "mods" take care of all the maintenance first ie: timing belt water pump fuel pump and just drive it and enjoy it.
When you want to start "modding" buy yourself a short shift kit z4 z3 doesnt really matter ( I personally have the z4 2.5 and am in love with it)... after you take care of that THEN you should start doing things like suspension and wheels.
Point being, Learn to drive the car first as it sits stock, then mod slowly as you can afford it, this will allow you to "feel" each mod and enjoy it more.Originally posted by ebelementsAlso, for those who don't know, negative camber is the greatest thing since sliced bread(panera). Even tire wear is for city busses and the elderly.

And for the short shift kit, what's the difference between a Z and say a UUC one?88 325is

I can't answer your shifter question, but welcome. Looks like a very nice point to start.
And we don't mind that you are 16 since you use better grammar and sentence structure than most people here.
The first thing I would do if I were you is suspension overhaul. Or if it's all been done, at least get some good lowering springs and proper shocks.

I have the z3 short shifter and like it quite a bit, first mod i did, along with a clutch stop. i put a UUC rk2 knob on top of that [7 ounces ish] and i love the setup.
But the UUC knob was a gift, probably don't need one that upscale honestly.

Just install an S50B32 and a 6speed tranny and don't touch anything else.
But cereally, you have a great starter car right there. Don't jump into mods, just maintain it and learn the stock capabilities before you progress to anything else. A short shifter is nice, but learn on the stock one first. You'll appreciate it TONS more.
Save up for a driving clinic or a track school, after going to one of those your modding priorities will change drastically.
