Damn you and playing catch up in the race between the twins. You detail after mine, and just beat me to new fogs as I replaced my broken one (which we had the same broken one....)
I see your smoked turns, and raise you euro ellips. Bastard. :P
Looks amazing, but is begging for some wheels, or at least spacers like Kav's.Comment

I'm never, ever selling it. Thanks for the offer though.Originally posted by C ///MWow. That is truly a perfect example. If you ever want to sell it, let me know. Do you have any plans for the car? (I think you need new tires).
Also, if you are ever bored and need some body work to do, may I recommend that you remove that nasty gravel guard finish on the front spoiler? The gravel guard finish looks so dull and doesn' t match the rest of the shine on the body, especially after a detail like that.
Also, not sure if you like them or not, but euro smoked ellips woudl really match your smoked turn signals and side markers as well as the factory ellipsoidal foglights (which have a smoked look to them stock).
Anyway, rock-on!
Oh and these tires are quite new, just a very manly tread pattern. I don't mind the rough finish at all, I've become used to it. I also don't like smoked ellips much at all, if anything you'd see clear Euros on there but then again I'm perfectly happy with my Hella H4's. Form before function for the most part here ('tis why the exterior is still bone stock but I have tricks like GC/Koni's under there). Thanks for the suggestions though man, I appreciate your opinions without a doubt.
Hey you just reminded me, they actually don't. Looks like I have a new weekend project before it gets cold. :DOriginally posted by NWMFheated seat work? if so then thats one cool e30
Haha and I have allll winter to work on it, the college I'm going to (freshman too!) is down the street from my house. And don't worry about wheels, for now I'm extremely happy with the Azenis' on there but they will become my dedicated track/auto-x setup in the spring. I have some dish in mind with wide rubber. ;)Originally posted by rwh11385Damn you and playing catch up in the race between the twins. Yeah, they were some nice wheels but I'm never doing the spacer thing ever again, if I had them on all year it would be fine but I'll be switching my wheels twice a month for auto-x. Thanks, I really like the Falkens too (I sliced the sidewall of one tonight downtown though, have to go buy a new one tomorrow :x).Originally posted by Wes325too bad you had to sell your RX's. But I dig the weaves wrapped with Falkens
Haha, Zach owns. Whatever happened to that guy anyways?Originally posted by RobZach Morris phone is cooler :P

You mean Function before Form. You got it backwards according to what you describe as the route you're taking.Originally posted by MystikalForm before function for the most part here ('tis why the exterior is still bone stock but I have tricks like GC/Koni's under there).
Form describes looks, athestics, appearance, etc...
Function describes getting the job done without concerning its looks, aesthetics, etc..
Unless I'm mistaken, I took your explanation as getting the job done first without worrying about aesthetics (not that your car doesn't look good, because it certainly does). I think you've got a decent balance of form and function.

Yeah sorry that's what I meant, it's late and I'm still pissed about getting a flat in the middle of downtown Toronto tonight.
I personally think late model E30's looked great stock, but every one I see on the street today is either modified in a terrible way or in scrap heap condition. I suppose form does take a place in my priorities list since I'll willingly pay to maintain the car in new condition, but I could never rationalize more than $100 on a modification that does nothing for performance (excluding sound system) and isn't stock. I dunno, I often think of throwing on some 17" Kopis or other big wheels for show but then I think to myself, a 15" wheel with 225's does everything functionally better, why bother. Same thing I said earlier about ellips too, many say dirt cheap H4's are more effective anyways.
Sorry to off on such a tangent also, kinda drifted there. :PComment

I think it could use shadowline.

Thanks Rob. Not really a fan of that wheel though, and my 'is lip is already scraping coming out of parking lots on a weekly basis. Can't lower that front any more at all. Also the reason it doesn't look that low is my tires are undersized.
And don't worry, I have some much better rims on the way. ;)Comment

Damn that's clean! Looks great man, seriously looks like it's been locked in a vault all it's life. Do you store it in the winter or year-round it?Comment
