Showroom clean (56k run and cry)

You're not a true pimp unless you have one of these (circa 1991!):

A whole lot more here: http://www.uploadit.org/gallery/11880

The car was professionally detailed, clay bar, wax, polish, the works. I'm damn happy with the results, gotta keep them mint!

Great pics. Your car looks so hot!
I like the phone and armrest - looks optioned out. Does the phone work?
Are you the one that bought new fogs? Those look new.

Very nice car - I don't even like red.

Looks great dude. Probably the cleanest red car around these parts. It's hard for people to maintain their red.

the 1990 325is didn't come with ellipsoids.. also, he's in canada so they may have had different options there.

very beautiful car, I hope mine looks that clean with 180k miles :)

I see that your from Canada. Is your dash the original Canadian version or is that a euro dash?

                Damn; lookin' good, man.

Does that armrest get in the way when you're shifting? And I'm assuming the phone was a factory option as well... but why do you keep it in there?

                  Very, very clean. Love it.

Thanks, the armrest was put in shortly after delivery at the dealer. The phone doesn't work anymore, I took out the control box and removed most of the wiring. We only had it activated for like 2 years, and I remember it was like 95 cents a minute plus a monthly fee. The fogs are brand new, I was the one who posted the thread.

Thanks TJ, and yeah red is a BITCH to keep looking good. The easiet to fade paint out there. The car was literally orange at night and slightly pink in the day before. Luckily this guy is amazing with the recovery, I could never have gotten it looking this deep.

Yeah, it's a 1990 so no ellipsoids. Those are Hella H4's though (about 7 years old), so at least I can see things at night. For the most part we had the same options as you guys, with a few great exceptions. For one, in '90 and '91 airbags were NOT standard, they were a stand alone option. The M-Tech II wheel and matching knob were also stock. Besides those little differences our 325is was identical. Thanks Nando, I'm logging on about 30k km's a year at this point.

                    All factory Canadian spec.

Some people complain about the armrest, but I love the height it puts my arm at. Especially with the Z4 3.0 rod, it gives good leverage to shift with just my wrist. And on long hauls it's awesome, my elbow is at the same height as the other one on the door panel, putting my hands perfectly 9 and 3. I leave the phone in because it's unique, and shows the era of the car. Plus it cracks everyone I give a ride to up.

                    Thanks for compliments again guys.

Wow. That is truly a perfect example. If you ever want to sell it, let me know. Do you have any plans for the car? (I think you need new tires).

Also, if you are ever bored and need some body work to do, may I recommend that you remove that nasty gravel guard finish on the front spoiler? The gravel guard finish looks so dull and doesn' t match the rest of the shine on the body, especially after a detail like that.

Also, not sure if you like them or not, but euro smoked ellips woudl really match your smoked turn signals and side markers as well as the factory ellipsoidal foglights (which have a smoked look to them stock).

                        Anyway, rock-on!

Looks damn nice  , my brilliantrot is starting to get a little dull as well. A good detail should bring it back to life.

My M3 came with a phone very similar to that, it was installed a few months after being bought new. I removed it but keep it in my closet since its so odd to see compared to todays cell phones. I may remount it in the cabin just for laughs as well. :)
