New to the Forum 1990 325is

I am Jeremy, I am new to the Forum. I have looked around a little and it seems to have lots of helpful information. It has been a great resource for my new car. I have had a bunch of BMW's in the past but this is my first E30. I was looking for something inexpensive, but fun and rear wheel drive, and so far I think I have found it.

Here it is in all its glory a 1990 325is. With a little more work it will be as good as new. (Don't mind the car lot in the background that is where I work) The car is a five speed. The A/C is ice cold and it runs and drives great. I plan on putting in a quicker ratio steering rack, doing some suspension and maybe getting some wheels for the car. I will post some pics of the interior when I get a chance to vacume it out.

        Hi Jeremy
Welcome to the forum. There are a few Florida E30's on this board and a few of them up by you. Great looking start very clean engine bay. It's hard to tell from the pics since it looks pretty stock but it doesn't really stand out as an IS model without the spoilers or the wheels but its a great year to mod GL.

wow it looks like it is in really good condition!! and i agree that the engine bay is a win.

My input, and i am sure many will agree: lower the car with some good springs and sport shocks before getting plus size wheels. I assume that is what you meant by "doing some suspension"

                  325i, not IS?

                  Missing spoiler and weaves.

                  Nice looking car nevertheless.

I thought all 2 doors were IS's. I am pretty sure that is how the e36's are. This is my first e30 and it apparently is a 325i. I stand corrected.

No, not all 2 doors were IS models. Easy give away on IS models = sports interior/steeringwheel/basketweaves/rearspoiler/fogs/is lip/lsd/premium speakers. But there are I models out there with some of these installed as options as well...

Your engine bay is cleaner than my apartment.

I see an e34 hiding in that lot.

It is a super rare 1995 540i 6-Speed, and it has had the engine recall performed in 1999 so no nikasil issues.
