no, what i think Jordan is refering to is the safety risk of running harnesses with no roll cage since the harnesses hold you up in the event of a roll over you can suffer some major injuries by the roof crushing your head ;)
The other side of that is a roll bar and specially a cage on the street is equally dangerous since in an accident your head can come in contact with on one of the bars on the cage (padding will do little to help) and since you aren't wearing a helmet, major injuries to you head can occur as well.
Basically there is no good way to run harnesses without some sort or risk. I chose to run no roll bar or cage since my car is tracked quite a bit, it's still mostly driven on the street. I've chosen to risk a roll over on the track vs. hitting my head on on a roll bar/roll cage. While my Schroth ASM belts are DOT legal, I only wear the harnesses at the track
Wow, this board is something else. Hehe. First of all...that IS M tech cloth just not the style everybody and their mama is used to seeing. Secondly, because I have harnesses in the car doesn't mean I wear them everyday. In fact, in CA they are illegal for street use anyway so I use the regular belt. I don't see the track often but I got these for a sweet deal and I like being different. I posted to give the guy an idea of what blue schroth harnesses would look like. Whether you like the styling or not is irrelevant.
