Any surface that is primed should be finished off with paint. Another idea might be to use that underbody paint. It is applied with a brush or roller typically. Very durable stuff.

Oh, I get what you're saying. Yeah I meant to say that the backs are being sandblasted (not powdercoated,) and they are being primed and painted (most likely black.) I'll keep that underbody paint in mind though, that's actually a good idea.

As far as the S70/3, it's actually a spare motor from the aforementioned FINA-liveried long-tailed McLaren F1 GTR. The guy apparently sold the car and kept the spare motor.
