Wow, really? Thanks man, yeah the wheels may look great but they are zero fun to clean.

Well, a local friend invited my brother and I to his hanger to check out something he has in storage for his friend in California. I think you guys will approve.

...perhaps an engine swap later on?

Additional pictures will soon be added.

This is the S70/3 from the infamous long-tail FINA McLaren F1 that competed at LeMans in 1996 or 1997 IIRC. Power is estimated at ±600 bhp because of being destroked from the 6.2 liter S70/2 that was used in the McLaren F1 road car.

Kind of humbling to have a car sitting next to a motor that costs literally 100 times more than it.

Can't wait to see it with the euro bumpers. Might I suggest not leaving primer as the last coat. It is porous and will absorb moisture. It is meant to prime for paint and should be used that way, not as a top coat. Just my 2 cents. Car looks good though. You should take some shots once you get your bumpers on, with your dad's car and yours.

On a side know, what is his friend's plan for the motor?

Are you referring to the fronts of the bumpers or the backs? I plan on leaving the fronts in their original chrome finish, and the backs are being sandblasted.

Good idea about the photoshoot of this and the M5.

Any surface that is primed should be finished off with paint. Another idea might be to use that underbody paint. It is applied with a brush or roller typically. Very durable stuff.
