Finally an e30 owner..I love it!!

So after months and months of looking I found her.
The day before I almost spent $3000 on a different e30. I went home and told the guy I will let him know tommorow. Well I went home and went on craigslist and found the sale with no pictures. Called the guy and he said he will post pictures later (and he did). I liked the pictures so I went and look at it and bought right away.

    Here she is a 1989 325IS for $1700
I m the 3rd owner :D. The car was originally a Canada car so everything is in KM and Liters. It has grey cloth recaro houndstooth Heated seats. It has mtech steering wheel (i believe), UUC SSK, k&n intake and the nice stock speaker system.

Right after i bought it, I went over to my friend's shop and grabbed some 9006 hids and i went to best buy and grabbed an alpine deck with ipod cable.

    Here are some pictures.

What is the grill in the back middle panel?? Nice catch, make sure you do the initial maintenance on her like the timing belt and other basic stuff.

How do I spell stress relief?:hitler:

Unless I am wrong, that would be an OLD (era correct) Alpine single 6X9 subwoofer...not too bad sounding, either. Not gonna rattle the 'hood, but some decent bass.

If you had bought some other deck besides Alpine, you would have high pass filters and subwoofer level controls and your car would sound far better, but oh well, you got what you liked, right?

So yeah, gonna swap out that trunk lid soon?

Great start of an eternal addiction!

                Closing SOON!

                    Thanks a lot guys!!
Yea the old owner has a trunk, sunroof, foglights and some other stuff that I plan on picking up tomorrow.

It has new water pump, alternator, battery, belts, timing belt and has some sort of a retrofit so that the fan stays on after the car is off. (That way it doesn't cook the head gasket.)

I think the grill in the middle is the sub woofer. I hooked up the radio but so far only the rear works. So tomorrow i will redo the whole wiring on the audio and test the tweeters and sub. So far it sounds as good as the e46 lol.

Its a great great car. I cant believe i missed out on e30s all this time. I don't want to drive my e46 anymore and my e46 is super fun to drive (boosted, stiff coils etc). I took the e30 this morning to 195kmph (120 mph) on the way to work, so she goes :D.

She needs brakes soon!! really soon.

Believe it or not, your a huge inspiration for me. I got my e46 and went to my very first meet and it was in a parking lot at universty (across from the checkers lot) and there was about 2 e30s and 4 e36s and 2 e46s (mine and Tim330i owner of e46fanatics.com) . you had the yellow boosted e36. I will never forget that!!

I owe you a thank you!!

Great point and i know exactly what you mean. I have a nicer setup in my e46. I wanted something simplar and gets the job done. To be honest though, I think i ll return the deck and get a more expensive one. I dont like how ipod controls are over the little screen :(.

Sunday I ll figure out if i wanna keep it or return it and upgrade.

So far only the rear speakers work, no tweaters or fronts working at all :(.
I also need to fix every fuse in the fuse box.

Its a long project but I will get it done soon :D
                          I love that car.
