Clean 323i, they are coming out of the wood work! Those euro-federalized bumpers are the same that are on my car.

What springs are on that car, the stance with that profile tire is PERFECT! Goggles, would you mind chatting on AIM, I'd like to ask some 323 specific questions...

The suspension is something I cobbled together. I'm embarrassed to tell you what I've done, but it works and it was cheap. I cut the lower spring perch off of the front struts and welded on a flat plate, then bought some racing springs of the correct rate and length for a low but smooth ride. The rear got some springs from a Midget sprint car because they are a small diameter and fit the perches well. Then used rubber isolaters to adjust the ride height just right. The result is a fairly soft ride for a car that is pretty low, any lower and the struts would have to be shorter, as it is, the car hits the bumps stops in front a little, but they are soft bump stops and you don't notice it. You can buy racing springs from Hyperco in just about any dimension and rate so this would work well for racing too. The Koni shocks are OK, but I think Bilsteins have better damping for this set-up. I'm going to re-valve the rear Koni's myself to try to mimic the damping of a Bilstein.

Oh THAT one! Yeah, that was the same day as my anniversary. I tried to talk Heather into making a day out of it (car show by day/expensive restaurant by night), but it went over like a fart in church.

So is there any way to change the position of that steering wheel? I feel like a truck driver in the 323!

Haven't looked into that, but, there is always a way if you want to bad enough.
I'm a shifter kart racer, so, I like the positioning. What I really need is a quicker steering ratio!!!
Could probably modify the mounts with spacers or brackets.

                      Ah, I'm glad you went.
Wolf Creek is great. I drove the Alpine rd. to Alsea 2 weeks ago, even better.

Wow thats a great looking car. I usually dont like that front end lip, but its done so well with the color and the rims and the general direction of the mods.

sorry, the ring is too far- esp. in the winter time.

I would'nt dare let my car see salt- it hasnt seen a winter as far as I can trace back since before 1992.

as sad as it is, I have been over here for 14 years and still havent made it to the "ring".

that's an early e30 done correctly.

Wouldnt mind going on that renal car trip with you. Is it a certain event or will the track be open to the public?
