So for $500 that was the best you could do? C'mon man, you blew it all on amphetamines and then realized you forgot about your car. Don't lie to us.

$1000 is a great deal for that car, you should have taken it. That's a healthy down payment on an E30 that's actually somewhat nice.

Either way, if it's somebody else's fault, why are you paying for the repairs?

You also know it's illegal to take insurance money and not have a car repaired to it's original state, right? Especially at your age.

I never said I was the be all and end all of judging, but every time I see a car like (especially in my area) it makes me sick to think what it's telling the general public about the e30 community. He had the means to repair it correctly and didn't.

To claim it's "a driver's car" is simply a cop-out, another stretch of the laziness that brought us the Krylon paintjob.
